Abstract

This classroom action research aims to enhance fifth-grade students' understanding of Islamic etiquette in interactions (etika berinteraksi dalam Islam) through the role-play method. The study was conducted at MIS Al Ifadah, involving 17 students. The research was implemented in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Initially, students showed limited understanding of Islamic etiquette in daily interactions. The role-play method, where students actively act out scenarios involving Islamic manners such as greeting, respecting elders, and polite speech, was introduced to engage them in practical learning. After implementing role play in the second cycle, students demonstrated significant improvement in both understanding and applying Islamic etiquette. They were able to describe and practice proper behaviors in various social situations, including school and home contexts. The study concluded that the role-play method effectively increases students' awareness and practical application of Islamic interaction etiquette, making abstract religious concepts more tangible and applicable in real-life situations. This approach also improved students’ communication skills, teamwork, and empathy, as they experienced the importance of manners firsthand.
