Abstract
This research aims to explore the utilization of Augmented Reality (AR) in activities for recognizing Hijaiyah letters to increase children's learning interest at RA Iqro Muslimat NU Pandan. The use of AR technology offers a modern and interactive approach to learning, transforming the conventional method of teaching Hijaiyah letters into a more engaging and dynamic experience. By integrating AR, children can visualize the letters in 3D, interact with them, and connect the symbols with their corresponding sounds. This study adopts a classroom action research (CAR) method, where the AR-based learning activity is implemented, and children's engagement and interest are observed and evaluated. Data collection is conducted through observations, teacher interviews, and children's feedback. The findings indicate that the use of AR in learning Hijaiyah letters significantly enhances children's interest in learning. The immersive and interactive nature of AR increases their motivation to participate actively and explore the content further. The results suggest that AR can be an effective tool in early childhood education, particularly in increasing learning interest and facilitating better understanding of educational materials.
