Abstract
This research aims to explore the application of Islamic Mindful Storytelling to develop focus and emotional control in third-grade students at MIN Kota Bekasi. The study involves 22 children and applies a qualitative approach with a classroom action research design. Islamic Mindful Storytelling combines elements of Islamic values with mindfulness techniques to engage children in stories that emphasize emotional regulation, self-awareness, and focus. The storytelling sessions are structured to incorporate reflection on the moral lessons, breathing exercises, and moments of silence, fostering emotional balance and concentration. Data is collected through observations, student reflections, and interviews with teachers to assess the changes in focus and emotional control before and after the intervention. The findings show that the application of Islamic Mindful Storytelling significantly improved the students’ ability to focus during class activities and enhanced their emotional regulation. The students demonstrated increased mindfulness, calmness, and self-control, particularly in stressful or challenging situations. This study highlights the potential of integrating mindfulness practices with Islamic teachings as an effective approach to enhance focus and emotional control among young learners.
