Abstract
This study aims to explore the use of a mini greenhouse project as an educational tool to enhance environmental awareness in children at RA Robbani Rantauprapat. The research employs a qualitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR) design. The mini greenhouse project involves children in planting and caring for various plants, providing them with hands-on experience in understanding the importance of plants and environmental sustainability. Data is collected through observations, student reflections, and interviews with teachers. The findings reveal that the mini greenhouse project significantly increased children's awareness and care for the environment. Students demonstrated a better understanding of the importance of conservation and sustainability, as well as a stronger sense of responsibility towards nature. This hands-on approach helped children connect theoretical knowledge about the environment with practical actions. The results suggest that incorporating project-based learning, such as the mini greenhouse, can be an effective way to foster environmental awareness and responsibility in early childhood education. This study highlights the importance of integrating real-world projects into early education to instill values of sustainability and care for nature from a young age.
