Abstract
This study aims to explore the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method in creating educational videos on the practice of zakat by fifth-grade students at MI Negeri 2 Luwu. The research employs a qualitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR) design. The intervention involves students working in groups to create educational videos that explain the process and importance of zakat in Islam. Data is collected through observations, student reflections, and teacher interviews. The findings indicate that PjBL significantly enhanced students' understanding of zakat, improved their collaboration skills, and increased their creativity in producing educational content. The hands-on nature of the project allowed students to apply theoretical knowledge of zakat to a practical context, making the learning experience more meaningful and engaging. Additionally, students demonstrated increased confidence in presenting and explaining religious topics. This study highlights the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning as an innovative approach to teaching religious practices while fostering critical thinking, teamwork, and multimedia skills. The results suggest that PjBL can be an effective method in enhancing both cognitive and practical skills in the context of Islamic education.
