Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of Digital Smart Flashcards (AR Flashcards) as a media tool to enhance the recognition of Hijaiyah letters among early childhood students at RA Dzikrurrahman. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR) design. The intervention involves using Augmented Reality (AR) flashcards, which provide an interactive and engaging experience for students to learn and recognize the Hijaiyah letters. Data were collected through observations, student reflections, and teacher interviews. The findings indicate that the use of AR flashcards significantly improved the students' ability to recognize and memorize Hijaiyah letters. The interactive features of the AR flashcards, such as animations and sound effects, helped maintain students’ attention and motivated them to actively participate in the learning process. Additionally, the study shows that the use of AR in early childhood education promotes a fun, immersive, and effective learning experience. This research highlights the potential of AR technology as an innovative educational tool for enhancing early literacy skills and fostering a more interactive learning environment in early childhood education.
