Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the implementation of the Direct Instruction model to improve students' moral behavior toward their peers at MI Ma’arif NU Sidomulyo. The focus of this study is on enhancing students' interpersonal skills, particularly respect, kindness, and cooperation with friends, through structured and teacher-guided activities. The Direct Instruction model is chosen because of its clear, step-by-step approach, which allows for consistent reinforcement of positive behaviors in a controlled setting. This research involves two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data will be collected through direct observation, student feedback, and interviews with both teachers and students. The results of this study aim to show the effectiveness of Direct Instruction in fostering a positive peer environment and improving students' moral character. By incorporating direct teaching techniques, students are expected to engage in better social interactions and display more respectful and caring attitudes toward one another. The findings will provide valuable insights into how structured learning models like Direct Instruction can be used in character education to promote positive relationships among students.
