Abstract

This study explores the use of Islamic collage media made from natural materials to foster creativity and a sense of gratitude among young children at Dac Wanatirta. The research involved 20 students and aimed to assess whether the incorporation of Islamic themes in collage activities could enhance children's creativity while instilling the values of gratitude (syukur) through hands-on experiences. During the study, children were engaged in creating collages using natural materials such as leaves, seeds, and twigs, while learning about Islamic teachings on gratitude and the importance of appreciating nature as a gift from Allah. The results indicated a significant improvement in the children’s creativity, as they were able to explore various artistic expressions through the materials provided. Moreover, the activity successfully encouraged a deeper understanding of gratitude, as children connected the process of creating art with recognizing and appreciating the blessings around them. The study concludes that Islamic collage media using natural materials is an effective tool for promoting creativity and fostering a sense of gratitude in early childhood education, providing a meaningful and engaging approach to learning Islamic values.
