Abstract
This study explores the application of Eco-Storytelling, based on the surrounding environment, to foster ecological awareness among fifth-grade students at MIS Miftahussalam Nagori Kahean. The research aimed to assess whether storytelling, centered around local environmental issues and conservation efforts, could increase students' awareness and understanding of ecological challenges. During the study, students were engaged in creating and presenting their own eco-stories, which highlighted local environmental concerns such as waste management, deforestation, and the importance of preserving natural resources. The results showed a significant improvement in students' environmental awareness, as they demonstrated greater understanding and engagement with the topics discussed in the stories. Moreover, the activity encouraged students to take action in their daily lives to promote environmental conservation. The study concludes that Eco-Storytelling is an effective educational tool for fostering ecological awareness in young learners, connecting them to their local environment while promoting sustainable behavior.
