Abstract

This study examines the application of digital storytelling using the Canva app to improve the short story writing skills of fourth-grade students at MIS Alkhairaat Tilamuta. The research aimed to assess whether integrating Canva, a user-friendly digital design tool, in storytelling activities could help students enhance their writing creativity and narrative skills. During the study, students were tasked with creating digital stories by combining written narratives, images, and design elements using the Canva app. The results showed a significant improvement in students' ability to write coherent and engaging short stories. Students demonstrated increased creativity in constructing their narratives, and they were able to express their ideas more effectively through digital mediums. This study concludes that digital storytelling with Canva is an effective and engaging method for enhancing students' writing skills, as it provides a creative platform for students to visualize and structure their stories while improving their overall communication and technical skills.
