Abstract

This research investigates the enhancement of students' understanding of the concept of Tawhid (the oneness of God) through the use of Augmented Reality (AR) learning media at MTs. Nurul Islamiyah Samarinda. The study aims to explore how AR technology can provide an interactive and engaging learning experience to facilitate the comprehension of Islamic concepts, particularly Tawhid. Traditional methods of teaching Tawhid often rely on textbook-based explanations, which can be challenging for some students to grasp. This research employs an experimental design, using AR-based learning materials that present visual and interactive simulations of Tawhid concepts, allowing students to engage with the material in a more immersive way. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests, as well as student and teacher interviews, to assess the effectiveness of AR media in improving conceptual understanding. The results indicate that the use of AR significantly enhances students' understanding of Tawhid, making it more accessible and easier to comprehend. The findings suggest that incorporating innovative technologies such as AR can be an effective method to improve religious education, particularly in conveying abstract concepts like the oneness of God.
