Abstract

This study explores the use of mobile applications to enhance the memorization skills of short surahs among students at UPT SDN 27 Koto Baru. The importance of memorizing the Quran, especially short surahs, is emphasized in Islamic education, but traditional memorization methods can often be challenging for students, especially in maintaining consistency and motivation. Mobile applications provide a more engaging and accessible alternative by allowing students to practice and memorize at their own pace, using features such as audio recitations, interactive quizzes, and repetition techniques. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a mobile application in improving students' ability to memorize short surahs. The study uses a mixed-method approach, combining pre- and post-tests to assess memorization progress, along with surveys and interviews to gather feedback from students and teachers on the app's usability and impact. The results show that the use of mobile applications significantly enhances students' memorization performance and increases their motivation to learn. The study concludes that integrating mobile technology into Quranic education can be an effective tool for improving students' memorization skills in a more interactive and self-paced manner.
