Abstract

This research aims to explore the utilization of interactive learning videos to introduce Islamic history to students at SD Negeri 02 IV Koto Aur Malintang. The introduction of Islamic history is crucial for fostering students' understanding of their cultural and religious heritage. Traditional methods of teaching history may not always engage young learners effectively, leading to a lack of interest in the subject. Interactive learning videos offer a dynamic and engaging alternative by combining audiovisual elements that can capture students' attention and simplify complex historical concepts. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, using pre- and post-tests to assess the students' knowledge before and after the use of interactive videos. In addition, student surveys and teacher interviews were conducted to gather feedback on the effectiveness of the videos in enhancing students' learning experiences. The results suggest that the use of interactive learning videos significantly improves students' understanding of Islamic history, increases their engagement in the subject, and fosters a deeper connection with their cultural roots. The research concludes that integrating multimedia resources like interactive videos into the curriculum is an effective strategy to improve the quality of history education in elementary schools.
