Abstract
This research aims to examine the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in enhancing students' understanding of noble character (akhlak mulia) at SDN 01 2X11 Kayutanam. In the context of Islamic education, instilling noble character is a fundamental goal, but traditional teaching methods often fail to engage students actively in the learning process. PBL, as a student-centered approach, encourages students to actively participate in solving real-world problems while integrating moral values into their projects. This study uses a qualitative approach, with data collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and student surveys. The research focuses on how PBL can help students internalize the values of noble character, such as honesty, respect, and kindness, through collaborative projects that reflect Islamic teachings. The results show that PBL significantly improves students' understanding of akhlak mulia by allowing them to practice these values in various contexts, such as group work and community-based projects. The study concludes that PBL is an effective method to foster noble character in students, offering a more interactive and impactful approach to moral education.
