Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of Akidah Akhlak at MIN 1 Serang through the application of a values-based learning model. The study was prompted by the observation that many students struggled to comprehend and apply the core values of Akidah Akhlak in their daily lives. The values-based learning model was selected as an innovative approach to foster a deeper understanding of religious and moral values by involving students in active discussions, real-life applications, and reflective practices. This research was conducted in two cycles, with pre-test and post-test assessments used to measure improvements in students’ understanding of Akidah Akhlak. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ knowledge and application of the concepts taught, as evidenced by higher post-test scores. Additionally, students showed increased engagement and motivation in participating in class activities. This study suggests that incorporating a values-based learning approach in Akidah Akhlak education can effectively enhance students' moral development and understanding. Based on these findings, it is recommended that MIN 1 Serang continue to adopt and refine this approach to further improve students' understanding of religious values and character development.
