Abstract
This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Virtual Reality (VR) applications in enhancing students' skills in performing Shalat (prayer) at SDN 22 Tuapejat. Shalat is one of the fundamental practices in Islam, and mastering its proper performance is essential for Muslim students. Traditional methods of teaching Shalat, such as verbal instructions and demonstrations, are often not sufficient to engage students fully, especially in terms of spatial and physical movements. VR technology offers an immersive and interactive way to simulate the process of Shalat, allowing students to practice movements and actions in a controlled virtual environment. This research uses a mixed-method approach, combining pre- and post-assessments to measure students' performance in Shalat before and after using the VR application. Additionally, student surveys and teacher interviews were conducted to gather feedback on the usability and effectiveness of the VR application. The findings indicate that VR significantly improves students' understanding of Shalat and enhances their ability to perform it correctly. The use of VR provides students with a more engaging, hands-on experience, making it easier for them to internalize the physical movements and rituals involved in Shalat. This study concludes that VR is an innovative and effective tool for improving religious education in schools.
