Abstract

This research aims to explore the use of Project-Based Learning (PBL) to teach Islamic values to students at UPT.SDN 28 Koto Nan IV. Islamic education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and understanding of moral values. However, traditional teaching methods often fail to engage students in applying these values in real life. PBL, which emphasizes active learning through project work, provides an opportunity for students to explore and internalize Islamic values in a practical and meaningful way. In this study, students were assigned group projects that focused on specific Islamic values such as honesty, kindness, and respect. The research uses a mixed-methods approach, with pre- and post-project assessments to measure students' understanding of the values, as well as surveys and interviews to gather feedback from students and teachers. The findings indicate that PBL significantly enhances students' understanding and application of Islamic values. The hands-on nature of PBL allows students to better connect theory with practice, while also fostering teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. This study concludes that PBL is an effective and engaging method for teaching Islamic values, encouraging students to actively live these principles in their daily lives.
