Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' reading comprehension skills in Indonesian language learning at MIN 2 Pasaman through the use of interactive educational games. The study is motivated by the observation that many students struggle with understanding reading materials, which affects their overall performance in the subject. The research applies interactive educational games as a teaching strategy to engage students actively and make the learning process more enjoyable and effective. The research is conducted in two cycles, with pre-tests and post-tests used to assess students' reading comprehension before and after the implementation of the educational games. The results show a significant improvement in students' reading comprehension, as evidenced by the higher post-test scores compared to the pre-test. The study concludes that interactive educational games not only increase student engagement but also enhance their understanding of the reading materials. This approach helps students develop critical thinking skills and encourages a more active participation in the learning process. The research recommends the integration of interactive educational games in language learning as an innovative and effective strategy to improve students' reading comprehension.
