Abstract

This study aims to explore the use of an Islamic educational application to enhance students' knowledge of Islamic history at SDN 07 Langung Sepakat. Utilizing the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, the study was conducted in two cycles involving planning, action, observation, and reflection. The primary objective was to assess whether the use of an educational app focused on Islamic history could improve students' understanding and retention of key historical events in Islam. The research involved 30 students in grade 5, divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group used the Islamic educational application, while the control group received traditional teaching methods. Data was collected through pre- and post-assessments, classroom observations, and interviews with both students and teachers. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students' knowledge of Islamic history in the experimental group, as evidenced by higher scores on the post-test compared to the pre-test. Additionally, students showed increased enthusiasm and engagement in learning. This suggests that integrating technology, specifically an Islamic educational app, can be an effective method to enhance the learning experience and understanding of Islamic history. The study concludes that educational applications can be a valuable tool in improving students' comprehension of Islamic subjects in elementary education.
