Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance the understanding of Aqidah Akhlak values among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 06 Surabayo through the implementation of storytelling methods. The research addresses the challenge of making abstract religious concepts more accessible and engaging for young learners. By incorporating storytelling, this study seeks to make the learning process more interactive, relatable, and memorable, thus fostering a deeper connection with the values of Islamic creed and morality. The study involves a group of fifth-grade students during the 2024 academic year, using observations, interviews with teachers, and performance assessments to gather data. The results indicate that storytelling significantly improved students' engagement and comprehension of Aqidah Akhlak, as they were able to connect the moral lessons in the stories to their own lives. This method not only facilitated a better understanding of religious principles but also enhanced students' ability to apply those values in their daily interactions. The research concludes that storytelling is an effective and innovative approach in teaching Islamic values to elementary school students and can be a useful tool in the development of their moral and ethical behavior.
