Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aimed to improve students' understanding of Islamic values at SDN 05 2X11 Kayutanam through the implementation of interactive storytelling in Islamic Education (PAI) lessons. The research was motivated by the need to create an engaging and effective way to teach Islamic values to elementary school students. The study was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. In the first cycle, interactive storytelling was introduced to present Islamic stories, with students participating in discussions and reenactments. The second cycle involved enhancing the storytelling experience by incorporating multimedia and group activities to further engage students. Data were collected through observations, interviews with teachers, and student assessments to evaluate their involvement and understanding. The results showed a significant increase in students' enthusiasm for the subject and a deeper understanding of key Islamic values such as kindness, honesty, and respect. The study concluded that interactive storytelling is an effective and innovative method to improve students' engagement and comprehension in Islamic Education, making learning more enjoyable and meaningful.
