Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of Islamic values through project-based learning in the Islamic Education (PAI) subject at SD Negeri 11 Balai Gurah. The study was conducted over two cycles, involving 30 students. The research utilized a qualitative approach, with data collection through observations, interviews, and documentation. The project-based learning model was implemented to make learning more engaging and interactive, focusing on real-life applications of Islamic values. The results indicated significant improvement in students' understanding and application of Islamic teachings in their daily lives. In addition, students showed increased motivation and participation in class activities. This study highlights the effectiveness of project-based learning as an innovative approach to teaching PAI in primary education. It provides valuable insights into the potential of hands-on learning activities in instilling moral and spiritual values in young learners. The research suggests that such approaches could be adopted in other schools to enhance the overall quality of religious education.
