Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the understanding of Islamic values among students at SDN 08 Kampung Jawa through the implementation of a project-based learning model. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 30 students of grade 4. The project-based learning model was chosen to engage students actively in learning and to encourage them to apply Islamic teachings in real-life contexts. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and student assessments. The results show that project-based learning significantly increased students’ understanding of Islamic values, enhanced their motivation, and fostered teamwork skills. This study concludes that the project-based learning model is effective in improving students' understanding of Islamic teachings, and it provides an innovative approach to teaching PAI that can be applied in other schools.
