Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) study aims to examine the application of educational game-based learning to enhance students' understanding of Islamic moral values in the subject of Islamic Education (PAI) at SMPN 3 Sungai Geringging. The research focuses on eighth-grade students, and the primary objective is to explore how game-based learning can increase students' engagement, motivation, and comprehension of Islamic moral teachings. The study is conducted over two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. Data is collected through observations, student interviews, and assessment of game outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of educational games in reinforcing values such as honesty, compassion, and patience. Findings from this research are expected to show that educational games not only enhance students' learning experience but also contribute to their ability to apply moral values in daily life. This study provides insights into the integration of innovative learning methods in Islamic education, particularly for improving students' character development and their understanding of religious teachings.
