Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the effectiveness of project-based learning in enhancing students' writing skills in Bahasa Indonesia at MI Sunan Ampel Sedengan Arjosari. The study involves two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research employs a qualitative and quantitative approach to assess the improvement in students' writing abilities, with data collected through writing assessments, observations, and student feedback. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' writing skills, particularly in terms of creativity, coherence, and structure. The implementation of project-based learning encouraged active student participation, fostering a collaborative learning environment that enhanced their engagement and motivation. Additionally, students were able to connect the learning material to real-life situations, making the writing tasks more meaningful and relevant. This research suggests that project-based learning can be an effective strategy to improve writing skills in Bahasa Indonesia, as it provides students with opportunities to express their thoughts in a structured and creative way. The results highlight the importance of interactive and student-centered approaches in the teaching of Bahasa Indonesia.
