Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the development
of children's character through the storytelling of Prophets and Apostles in
the Islamic Education (PAI) learning at TK Aisyiyah Rao. The research
focuses on utilizing religious stories as a medium to instill moral and ethical
values in young children. The study was conducted in two cycles, each
consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research
involved teachers and students of TK Aisyiyah Rao. The primary data
collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation.
The findings show that storytelling activities related to the lives of Prophets
and Apostles successfully enhanced the children's character development,
especially in terms of honesty, empathy, and respect. Additionally, students
showed a greater interest in learning and active participation during PAI
lessons. This study suggests that storytelling is an effective strategy to
integrate Islamic moral values in early childhood education, contributing to
the holistic development of children. Teachers can adopt this approach to
foster character education and help children internalize Islamic teachings in
a fun and engaging way.
