Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to apply the demonstration
method in Islamic worship education (Ibadah Shalat) to improve the
practical skills of students in performing Shalat at SDN 07 V Koto Timur.
The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action,
observation, and reflection. The research involved teachers and students of
grade 4 at SDN 07 V Koto Timur. Data were collected through
observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study
indicated that the demonstration method significantly improved the
students' practical skills in performing Shalat. Through direct
demonstration by the teacher and repeated practice, students were able to
perform the movements of Shalat more accurately and confidently.
Additionally, the demonstration method increased the students'
understanding of the significance of each movement in Shalat. This
research shows that using demonstration as a teaching method in Ibadah
Shalat is effective in helping students master the technical aspects of Shalat,
as well as fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of performing
Shalat correctly. It is recommended for teachers to incorporate this method
to enhance the learning experience of students in religious education.
