Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to explore the impact of using
Islamic songs to improve children’s memory of daily prayers at TK N 02
Lengayang. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of
planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research involved
preschool children and focused on the application of Islamic songs as a
teaching tool to enhance memorization of daily prayers. Data were collected
through observations, children’s reflections, and assessments of their ability
to recall prayers. The results indicate that the use of Islamic songs
significantly improved the children’s ability to remember and recite daily
prayers. The rhythm and melody of the songs made it easier for children to
retain the prayers and repeat them accurately. Additionally, the interactive
nature of the songs encouraged active participation and engagement from
the children. This research highlights the effectiveness of integrating music
into early childhood education, especially in teaching religious concepts.
The study recommends that Islamic songs be utilized as a regular method
in teaching daily prayers to children in order to improve their memorization
and understanding of religious practices.
