Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aimed to improve students' understanding of the procedure and significance of Shalat Jenazah (Funeral Prayer) in the PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam) subject at SMAN 2 Bayang. The research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle including planning, action, observation, and reflection. The main focus was on the implementation of demonstration methods to teach Shalat Jenazah, with the goal of providing students with a clear, practical understanding of the correct steps and spiritual significance of the prayer. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and reflective notes from both students and teachers. The findings indicate that the demonstration method effectively improved students' comprehension and skills in performing Shalat Jenazah. Students showed increased confidence and a deeper appreciation for the religious values embodied in the prayer. The research concluded that using active and interactive teaching methods, such as demonstrations, significantly enhanced the learning experience of students in the PAI subject, particularly in understanding and practicing religious rituals like Shalat Jenazah.
