Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding of the history of Islam and its development through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SD Negeri 16 Kampung Nan VI. The history of Islam is crucial for students to grasp the origins, growth, and impact of Islam on the world, as it helps build a deeper connection to their faith. The study follows a two-cycle model, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In the first cycle, students are introduced to the early history of Islam, including the life of Prophet Muhammad and the spread of Islam. The second cycle focuses on the development of Islamic civilization, its contributions to various fields such as science, art, and culture. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and pre- and post-assessments. The results indicate that students' understanding of Islamic history has improved, and they are better able to appreciate the relevance of these historical events in their lives. This research highlights the importance of integrating historical content into PAI, fostering not only knowledge but also moral and spiritual growth.
