Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding of Mathematics in the sixth grade at MI Miftahul Ulum Pakukerto. The research focuses on applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method to enhance students' problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding of mathematical concepts. The study follows the four stages of CAR: planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the planning stage, the teacher designs learning activities that incorporate real-world problems related to the material. During the action stage, students are engaged in collaborative problem-solving tasks, allowing them to explore mathematical concepts in context. Observation is conducted to assess students' participation, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of the material. The reflection stage involves evaluating the effectiveness of the PBL method and planning adjustments for future lessons. The results are expected to show an improvement in students' ability to understand and apply mathematical concepts, as well as an increase in their motivation and engagement in learning. This study contributes to the development of innovative teaching strategie
