Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' arithmetic skills in mathematics through the implementation of Game-Based Learning (GBL) at MI Miftahul Ulum Pakukerto. The research was conducted with grade VI students and follows the four stages of CAR: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The planning stage involved designing learning activities that integrate educational games to make mathematics more engaging and enjoyable for students. During the action stage, students actively participated in mathematical games that required them to apply arithmetic concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Observations were made to assess the students’ engagement, motivation, and understanding of mathematical operations. The reflection stage involved evaluating the effectiveness of the GBL approach in enhancing students' arithmetic skills. Results are expected to demonstrate an improvement in students' motivation, engagement, and overall performance in mathematics. This study contributes to the exploration of innovative methods in mathematics education, particularly in elementary school settings, where students often struggle with basic arithmetic.
