Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the importance of prayer (keutamaan berdoa) in Islamic Education (PAI) at SDIT Mardhatillah. The study utilizes a combination of interactive lectures and group discussions to engage students actively in learning the significance of prayer as taught in Islam. The research follows the four stages of CAR: planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the planning stage, the teacher prepares lesson materials, including interactive lectures that explain the spiritual, social, and psychological benefits of prayer. Group discussions are designed to encourage students to share personal experiences and reflect on the importance of prayer in their daily lives. During the action stage, students participate in the lectures and discussions, actively engaging in the learning process. Observations are conducted to assess students' participation, understanding, and attitudes towards prayer. The reflection stage involves analyzing the results of the observations and making necessary adjustments for future lessons. It is expected that this approach will increase students' awareness of the significance of prayer, motivating them to practice it consistently. The study aims to contribute to the development of more engaging and meaningful teaching strategies in Islamic education.
