Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of Sunnah prayers in the Islamic Education (PAI) subject at SD Negeri 02 Koto Kaciak. The research utilizes a combination of demonstration and hands-on practice methods to engage students in learning the correct procedures and benefits of Sunnah prayers. The study follows the four stages of CAR: planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the planning stage, the teacher prepares lesson plans and materials for demonstrating the correct way of performing various Sunnah prayers, such as Dhuha, Tahajjud, and others. The action stage involves the teacher demonstrating the prayers and guiding students to practice them in class. During this stage, students actively engage in learning by practicing the Sunnah prayers under the teacher’s guidance. Observations are conducted to assess students’ participation, understanding, and accuracy in performing the prayers. In the reflection stage, the results of the observations are analyzed to determine the effectiveness of the methods used. Based on the findings, adjustments are made for future lessons to improve students' understanding and practice of Sunnah prayers. The research aims to provide a more interactive and engaging approach to teaching Sunnah prayers in elementary school, fostering a deeper connection with the practice of prayer.
