Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the importance of consultation (musyawarah) in Islam within the context of Islamic Education (PAI) at UPT SMPN 1 Batang Kapas. The study employs a group discussion method to engage students actively in understanding the principles of musyawarah, which is central to decision-making and problem-solving in Islamic teachings. The research follows the four stages of CAR: planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the planning stage, the teacher prepares materials and activities that highlight the significance of musyawarah in Islam, using real-life examples and Islamic texts. During the action phase, students participate in group discussions where they reflect on the value of consultation in resolving conflicts, making decisions, and fostering cooperation. Observations are made to assess students’ participation, engagement, and understanding of the concept. In the reflection stage, data is analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of the discussion method in improving students' understanding of musyawarah. Based on the findings, adjustments are made to enhance the learning experience for future lessons. This research aims to foster a deeper understanding of the Islamic value of consultation and encourage its practice in students' daily lives.
