Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the importance of honesty in Islamic Education (PAI) at SDN 08 Airpura, Pesisir Selatan. The research utilizes an active learning method to engage students in understanding the core Islamic value of honesty and its application in everyday life. The study follows the four stages of CAR: planning, action, observation, and reflection. In the planning stage, the teacher prepares lesson materials that highlight the importance of honesty, using examples from Islamic teachings and real-life situations. During the action stage, students engage in activities such as role-playing and group discussions to explore and practice honesty in various contexts. Observations are conducted to assess students’ participation, understanding, and application of the concept of honesty. In the reflection stage, the results of the observations are analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of the method used. Based on these findings, necessary adjustments are made to improve future lessons. This research aims to promote the internalization of honesty as a key Islamic value, encouraging students to practice it both in and outside the classroom.
