Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) focuses on enhancing students' character development through the study of the stories of Prophets and Messengers in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SDN 04 Subang. The objective of this research is to instill moral and ethical values from the stories of the Prophets, helping students internalize positive traits such as honesty, patience, and responsibility. The study adopts a qualitative approach, involving a series of interventions in the PAI curriculum that utilize storytelling and interactive discussions. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and reflection journals to assess changes in students' attitudes and behavior. The results indicate that the integration of Prophet stories into PAI lessons significantly improves students' understanding of Islamic values and fosters character development. Students demonstrate increased empathy, respect, and better behavior towards others, particularly in interactions with peers and teachers. This research contributes to the idea that using stories as a tool in religious education can lead to a more holistic and effective learning experience, fostering a well-rounded character in elementary school students.
