Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' character development through Islamic Education (PAI) lessons at SDN 15 Sontang. Character building, especially in the context of Islamic values, plays a crucial role in shaping students' behavior both in and out of school. This research focuses on the application of interactive and practical teaching methods to instill key Islamic values, such as honesty, responsibility, and respect, in students' daily lives. Data were collected using observations, interviews, and assessments to measure the students' attitudes and behaviors before and after the intervention. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The results indicated significant improvement in students' behavior, particularly in areas such as responsibility, respect for others, and ethical conduct. The study demonstrates the effectiveness of integrating Islamic values into the curriculum to foster positive character traits among students. It provides insights into how Islamic Education can play a pivotal role in character development and the overall growth of students, both academically and personally.
