Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding and practice of sunnah prayers through Islamic Education (PAI) lessons at UPT SDN 09 Labuhan Tanjak. Sunnah prayers, as an important aspect of Islamic worship, enhance the spiritual connection with Allah and contribute to the development of students' discipline and character. This study focuses on using practical learning methods, such as direct practice and group discussions, to engage students in performing sunnah prayers regularly and understanding their significance in Islam. The research is conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data are collected through observation, interviews, and student self-assessments to evaluate changes in students' understanding and participation in sunnah prayers. The findings suggest that practical engagement significantly enhances students’ knowledge and regularity in performing sunnah prayers. This study highlights the importance of incorporating hands-on learning methods in PAI lessons to deepen students' spiritual practices and foster positive religious habits. The results emphasize the value of combining theoretical and practical approaches in teaching Islamic practices to young learners.
