Abstract





This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the Islamic concept of "Kewajiban Menuntut Ilmu" (The Obligation to Seek Knowledge) through the implementation of the Collaborative Learning (CL) approach in Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) at SDN 12 Sungai. The research focuses on how the CL approach, which emphasizes teamwork, mutual learning, and peer interaction, can foster a deeper understanding of the importance of seeking knowledge in Islam. The study was conducted over two cycles, each involving planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through classroom observations, student interviews, and questionnaires to assess the impact of the collaborative learning activities on students' comprehension and engagement with the topic. Preliminary findings indicate that students' participation and interest in the subject matter increased significantly after the implementation of the CL approach. Furthermore, students were able to relate the concept of seeking knowledge not only to academic learning but also to practical life situations. This study contributes to the development of more interactive and effective teaching methods for PAI, particularly in the context of instilling the values of lifelong learning in students.
