Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of the concept of "Sedekah" (charity) through the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) at SDN 14 Kinali. The research focuses on how the CTL approach, which connects learning material with real-life experiences, can improve students' comprehension and application of the concept of sedekah. The study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle involving planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through classroom observations, student interviews, and questionnaires to assess changes in students' understanding and engagement with the topic. Preliminary findings suggest that the CTL approach significantly improved students' awareness of the importance of sedekah, not only as a religious obligation but also as a practice that contributes to community welfare. The research also highlights the effectiveness of using real-life examples and hands-on activities to deepen students' understanding of Islamic values. This study contributes to the development of more interactive and practical methods of teaching PAI, especially in fostering students' social responsibility and empathy.
