Abstract

This action research aims to explore the effectiveness of the inquiry-based learning method in teaching the concept of "Rukun Iman" (Pillars of Faith) to elementary school students at SD Negeri 24 Kampung Melayu. The study investigates how inquiry-driven activities can enhance students' understanding and internalization of the key concepts of Islamic faith, specifically focusing on the six pillars. By incorporating interactive discussions, critical thinking exercises, and reflective questioning, this study seeks to engage students actively in the learning process. The research was conducted over several cycles, with data collected through observations, interviews, and assessments. The findings suggest that inquiry-based learning encourages deeper engagement, promotes a stronger connection to the material, and helps students develop a more comprehensive understanding of the Rukun Iman. This study provides valuable insights for educators seeking to employ innovative methods to teach religious education effectively in elementary schools.
