Abstract
This action research aims to explore the effectiveness of a contextual learning approach in teaching selected short surahs from Juz Amma to elementary school students at SD N 08 KP Jawa 1 Pariaman. The study focuses on how connecting these surahs with students' daily lives can enhance their understanding and memorization of the verses. The research employs a contextual teaching method where students are encouraged to relate the meanings and values of the surahs to real-life situations, promoting deeper engagement with the material. Data will be collected through classroom observations, student interviews, and assessments before and after the intervention. The findings are expected to show that contextual learning improves students' memorization skills, increases their understanding of the moral and spiritual lessons in Juz Amma, and fosters a greater sense of relevance to their everyday lives. This study seeks to provide insights into effective strategies for teaching Qur'anic texts at the elementary school level, making the learning process more meaningful and applicable.
