Meningkatkan Keterampilan Praktik Shalat Wajib Melalui Metode Demonstrasi di SD Negeri 01 Bonjol

Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding and skills in performing the mandatory prayer (shalat wajib) at SD Negeri 01 Bonjol. The research focuses on using a demonstration method to improve students' practical skills in following the proper steps of the prayer. The main objective of this study is to observe how the demonstration method influences students' ability to perform shalat correctly and confidently. The research was conducted over several cycles, involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation sheets, interviews with teachers and students, and performance assessments during the practice sessions. The findings indicated that the demonstration method significantly improved students' understanding and execution of the shalat wajib. Students demonstrated better comprehension of the prayer movements and recitations, as well as increased participation and enthusiasm in learning. This study contributes to the application of practical teaching methods in religious education and highlights the effectiveness of demonstration-based learning in enhancing religious practices among elementary school students
