Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' writing skills in Bahasa Indonesia through the implementation of a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach at MIN 3 Jombang, involving 25 students. The research addresses the issue of low writing proficiency observed among students, which hinders their ability to express ideas clearly and coherently. By integrating PjBL, the study aims to provide a more engaging and contextualized learning experience for students, where they work on projects that require them to write creatively and collaboratively. The research was conducted over two cycles, focusing on designing and refining projects that foster student participation and creativity. Data were collected through student writing assessments, classroom observations, and interviews. The findings suggest that PjBL significantly improved students' writing skills by motivating them to engage more deeply with the writing process. Students showed greater enthusiasm and produced more organized and thoughtful written work. This study highlights the importance of using innovative teaching methods to engage students and enhance their writing abilities, which are essential skills in their academic and future lives.
