Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) focuses on enhancing students' understanding of "Akhlak Terpuji" (Noble Character) in Islam at SDN 22 V Koto Timur, involving 23 students. The study aims to explore the impact of contextual learning approaches on fostering noble character traits among elementary school students. The intervention was carried out in two cycles, each incorporating a range of activities such as group discussions, role-playing, and storytelling, all designed to relate Islamic values to students' daily lives. The research sought to address challenges in engaging students with the concept of good moral character by providing relatable, real-world examples and interactive learning experiences. Data were collected through observations, student feedback, and assessments, indicating an improvement in students' understanding and practice of noble character. The findings suggest that the use of a contextual approach can effectively improve students' moral behaviors and their ability to internalize Islamic teachings on noble character. This research contributes to the development of strategies for moral education in Islamic education at the elementary school level.
