Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to strengthen the habit of praying before meals among students at SDN 20 IV Koto Aur Malintang, with 21 students participating in the study. The research focuses on using a positive habit-based learning approach to encourage students to make the practice of praying before meals a regular part of their daily routine. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. During the intervention, students participated in activities such as role-playing, discussion about the significance of prayer, and regular prayer before meals. Data were collected through observations, student feedback, and assessments, which showed a significant improvement in students' consistency in praying before meals and their understanding of its importance. The findings suggest that habit-based learning approaches can effectively instill positive practices like praying before meals, promoting both religious and personal discipline. This research contributes to the development of practical strategies for fostering positive habits in primary school students, enhancing their spiritual awareness and daily routines.
