Abstract
This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to develop the attitude of gratitude among students at SD Negeri 11 Tanjung Alai. The study focuses on implementing a contextual learning approach that encourages students to understand and practice the importance of gratitude in their daily lives. The primary objective is to enhance students' awareness of the significance of gratitude as an essential life skill, both in their social interactions and academic achievements. The research utilizes collaborative learning, group discussions, and reflection activities to cultivate the attitude of gratitude. Data is collected through direct observation, interviews, and student reflections, which are analyzed to assess the improvement in the students' level of gratitude. The results of this study are expected to provide insights into the role of gratitude in character education and its impact on overall student development. By fostering a grateful mindset, students are better equipped to appreciate their surroundings, overcome challenges, and build harmonious relationships with others. This research offers valuable implications for educators seeking to integrate character-building values into their teaching methods.
