Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to enhance students' understanding of Akidah Akhlak at MTsN 3, Jakarta Selatan through an active learning approach. The primary objective is to deepen students' comprehension of Islamic teachings related to faith (Akidah) and good character (Akhlak), and to promote the application of these values in their daily lives. The research employs active learning strategies, which involve interactive discussions, group activities, and role-playing, to engage students in exploring the concepts of Akidah Akhlak. Data is collected through observations, student reflections, and group discussions to assess the improvement in students’ understanding and attitude toward the subject. The expected outcome is to demonstrate the effectiveness of active learning in making abstract concepts like faith and character more tangible and applicable for students. This research will provide valuable insights for educators seeking to integrate active learning into religious studies curriculum, particularly in fostering a deeper understanding of Islamic values. The findings will highlight the impact of active engagement on students’ moral and spiritual development, contributing to a more meaningful learning experience.
