Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve students' understanding of Mathematics at MI Misbahul Fata Klenang Kidul Banyuanyar Probolinggo through a contextual approach. The primary goal is to enhance students' ability to apply mathematical concepts in real-life situations, making learning more meaningful and engaging. The study employs a contextual learning model, where students are encouraged to connect mathematical concepts with their daily experiences, fostering a deeper understanding. Data is collected through observations, student feedback, and pre- and post-assessment tests to evaluate the improvement in students' comprehension and application of mathematical concepts. The expected outcome of this research is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the contextual approach in making Mathematics more relatable and accessible for students. This study will provide valuable insights into how contextual learning can be used to engage students in Mathematics, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The findings will contribute to the ongoing development of effective teaching strategies for Mathematics in elementary education.
